In Columbus, Ohio, police are actively seeking public assistance following a horrific assault that occurred in broad daylight. The Columbus Division of Police issued an appeal for assistance via social media, stating, “On September 16, at approximately 7:35 a.m., Columbus Police patrol officers responded to the area of Gender Rd. and Refugee Rd. on the report of an assault.” According to the post, the suspect attacked a victim with an instrument near the intersection of Gender Rd. and Refugee Rd. before fleeing to the nearby Countryview East Apartments.
The Felonious Assault Detectives are now seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect, the identity of whom remains unknown at this stage. Despite the incident occurring over a month prior, they are relying on community assistance to make headway in the case.
