Bakersfield Search Warrant Leads to Seizure of 30 Pounds of Meth and Guns; One Man Arrested

Authorities seized more than 30 pounds of methamphetamine, firearms, and suspected drug-sales evidence after multiple agencies executed a search warrant near downtown Bakersfield. One person was taken into custody.

The Kern County District Attorney’s Office said that on December 4, 2025, DA Investigators, a special agent from the CDCR Special Service Unit, and a detective from the Bakersfield Police Department served a warrant in the 4000 block of O Street.

Officers searched an apartment and a connected storage room, where they allegedly found over 30 pounds of meth, $14,000 in cash, two handguns, and additional evidence linked to drug sales.

According to the DA’s Office, officers arrested 31-year-old Miguel Aldaco of Bakersfield on suspicion of unlawful firearm possession and several drug-sales-related offenses.

District Attorney Cynthia Zimmer praised the coordinated effort, saying, “I’m proud of the dedicated work of the Bureau of Investigations and our law enforcement partners, who work tirelessly to remove harmful substances from our streets. Drugs are a catalyst for other crime in our community, and a seizure of this magnitude is a significant win for our residents.”

Aldaco posted bail on December 4, 2025.

The DA’s Office said it will decide on formal charges before the tentative arraignment date set for December 29, 2025.
