CHP said the number one lane of westbound Highway 58 has reopened.
A semi-truck crash shut down part of westbound Highway 58 early Thursday morning, according to Caltrans District 6.
The California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Page reported that two semi-trucks crashed around 1:10 a.m. on westbound Highway 58, east of Towerline Road.
Caltrans posted on X that crews closed the westbound lanes at Towerline Road and diverted traffic off at General Beale Avenue.
The CHP website noted that a caller reported oil spilled across the lanes.
Caltrans has not provided an estimated time for a full reopening.
